Your Right to Data Deletion
At Trounce App, we respect your privacy and your right to control your personal data. You have the right to request the deletion of your personal information from our systems at any time. This page explains how to exercise this right and what happens when you request data deletion.
What Data Will Be Deleted
When you request data deletion, we will remove the following information:
Account Information
- Your account profile and personal details
- Email address and contact information
- Account preferences and settings
- Login credentials and authentication data
Content and Activity
- All posts, drafts, and scheduled content
- Media files and uploads
- AI-generated content and suggestions
- Analytics data and performance metrics
- Usage logs and activity history
Social Media Connections
- Connected social media account tokens
- Social media posting history
- Platform-specific settings and configurations
What Data May Be Retained
In certain circumstances, we may be required to retain some data:
- Financial records for accounting and tax purposes (up to 7 years)
- Data required for legal compliance or regulatory requirements
- Anonymized usage statistics that cannot identify you
- Backup data that will be automatically purged within 30 days
How to Request Data Deletion
Method 1: Through Your Account
- Log into your Trounce App account
- Go to Settings → Account Management
- Click "Delete Account"
- Confirm your request by entering your password
- Your account and data will be deleted within 30 days
Method 2: Contact Support
If you cannot access your account, you can request deletion by:
- Emailing us at privacy@trounceapp.com
- Including "Data Deletion Request" in the subject line
- Providing your account email address
- Including any additional identifying information

Processing Timeline
Here's what happens after you submit a deletion request:
- Immediate: Your account is deactivated and you cannot log in
- Within 24 hours: We send a confirmation email
- Within 7 days: Most of your data is removed from active systems
- Within 30 days: All personal data is permanently deleted
- Backup cleanup: Backup data is purged in the next scheduled cleanup cycle
Before You Delete
⚠️ Important Considerations
- This action is permanent and cannot be undone
- You will lose access to all your scheduled posts and content
- Your social media accounts will be disconnected
- Any active subscriptions will be cancelled
- You will need to create a new account if you want to use Trounce App again
Alternative Options
Before requesting complete deletion, consider these alternatives:
Account Deactivation
Temporarily deactivate your account instead of permanent deletion. This allows you to:
- Keep your data for future use
- Reactivate your account later
- Maintain your subscription benefits
Data Export
Export your data before deletion to keep a copy for your records. You can export:
- All your posts and content
- Analytics and performance data
- Account settings and preferences
Third-Party Data
Please note that deleting your Trounce App account does not automatically delete data from:
- Social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn)
- Payment processors (Stripe, PayPal)
- Analytics services (Google Analytics, etc.)
- Email marketing platforms
You may need to separately request data deletion from these services if desired.
